2Life Communities breaks ground on Solimine House in Lynn

2Life Communities broke ground on Solimine House in Lynn, a new affordable housing project for adults aged 62 and up, in mid-December 2025.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2027, and will bring 150 apartments to the area and be 100% affordable for families with incomes up to 60% of the area median income.

Residents will have access to programs and services that are similar to those in other 2Life communities including an accessible multipurpose room, fitness room, wellness office and lounge areas. A three-season porch, balconies and a classroom will be located on the building’s upper floors, and the building will open onto a central courtyard connecting to open space, with elevated garden beds, benches and walking paths.

“2Life is thrilled to be expanding to the North Shore by creating a vibrant new service-enriched community where 150 of Lynn’s older adults can age affordably in their own community,” said 2Life President Lizbeth Heyer. “For the past four years, we have worked closely with area residents, government officials, our development partner, David Solimine, and other key stakeholders to develop a beautiful, accessible and energy-efficient building that complements the surrounding community.”

Thrive Senior Living opens The Emberly at Heritage Glen

Thrive Senior Living announced the opening of The Emberly at Heritage Glen, an assisted living and memory care community in Fort Worth, Texas, strengthening the operator’s presence in Texas.

The one-floor, 72,000-square-foot community offers 50 assisted living suites and 45 memory care suites with a layout meant to support simple wayfinding and convenient access to shared spaces.

Amenities at The Emberly at Heritage Glen include daily chef-prepared dining, social spaces such as the Heritage Coffee Bar and Pegasus Bar and a calendar of engaging daily activities including arts programming, social gatherings and small-group experiences.

“For us, the heart of The Emberly is simple — this is our residents’ home,” said Jacquelyn O’Shaughnessy, community president of The Emberly at Heritage Glen. “Every detail, from how we welcome families to how we support daily routines, is centered on respect, dignity, and building genuine relationships. We’re honored to bring that experience to Fort Worth as part of the Thrive family.”

Sonida celebrates Magnolia Trails at East Lake grand opening

Sonida Senior Living (NYSE: SNDA) celebrated the grand opening of its Magnolia Trails at East Lake community in Tarpon Springs, Florida in mid-November 2025.

Sonida took ownership of the building in May 2025 and has invested in upgrades, including assistive technology to increase response times in the event of a resident emergency.

The grand opening celebration was meant to showcase the community’s renewed direction following its acquisition by Sonida.

“The last few months have been a full reset, and our team has worked hard to establish comfort for residents and trust with families,” said Teresa Covelli, executive director of Magnolia Trails at East Lake. “You can feel the difference in the atmosphere. There is stability, clarity, and a shared commitment to doing what is right for our residents.”
