Trilogy announces latest development project

Trilogy Health Services is expanding its footprint in the Midwest with the announcement of a new $30 million senior living and skilled nursing campus in Crestwood, Kentucky, according to a news release.

The development will include 123 residential living homes spanning independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing.

New affordable project underway in Florida

SG Holdings in partnership with New Urban Development recently marked the start of construction at Serenity Gardens, a new affordable senior living property in Miami Gardens, Florida, according to a news release.

The development will include a range of layouts including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.

Acts Retirement-Life Communities start on expansion in South Carolina

Acts Retirement Life Communities and project partners celebrated the start of construction on the first phase of work that will add independent living, assisted living and memory care at Park Pointe Village in Rock Hill, South Carolina, according to a news release.

Also part of the $200 million project includes a hospitality clubhouse and renovated outdoor spaces. The overall expansion project will “effectively double” the size of Park Pointe Village. Acts Retirement-Life Communities is adding 109 new acres at the community, and include 130 new independent living residences and an 18,000 square-foot clubhouse, two new restaurants and fitness, wellness and social spaces.

The first phase includes the expansion of 28 new assisted living apartments and a 10-unit memory care renovation and updates to an existing independent living building. The second phase will include 41 new duplex-style carriage homes and options with garages, storage and refined finishes. A new, three-story independent living apartment building will offer new living options alongside a new clubhouse to “anchor the campus, according to the release. Amenities include a wood-fired kitchen, indoor outdoor dining and a multipurpose room, chapel and pickleball court.

Outdoor spaces will also be reimagined as part of the project, including a memory care garden, landscaped plazas and courtyards, walking trails, recreation and fitness areas, dog. parks.

Project partners include Spiezle Architectural Group, TLC Engineering, DCI Engineers, Vision Builders, Seamon Whiteside and Edifice Construction.

Senior Living Hospitality Group opens memory care expansion in Connecticut

East Hill, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Southbury, Connecticut, recently opened a memory care expansion project for older adults experiencing late-stage dementia and significant cognitive change, according to a news release.

With the expansion of The Gardens project, East Hill is able to offer two neighborhoods of memory care to support residents in all stages of life with dementia. The Villa includes 14 private suites with private bathrooms in a household setting with secure indoor and outdoor spaces with a patio and gardens.

The Gardens now includes 18 private studio suites with separate living and sleeping areas with shared spaces including a kitchen, dining area, gathering space and outdoor porch. The Gardens expansion includes “calming household-style living spaces” with supportive lighting, simple layouts, secure walking paths and controlled access.

Covenant Living Communities opens latest expansion in Michigan

Covenant Living of The Great Lakes, a not-for-profit community in Grand Rapids, Michigan is set to open its latest expansion later this month, according to a news release.

The $30 million expansion includes 36 cottage homes at 18 duplex buildings. The homes include two bedroom and two-and-a-half bath floor plans with attached garages.

Project construction started in October 2024 and all cottage homes are now reserved, the news release notes.

Along with the new homes, the cottage neighborhood includes a private park and walking paths.

The development team included Atlanta-based architectural firm Thompson, Hancock Witte & Associates, Grand Rapids-based civil engineering firm Progressive Companies, and Platinum Contracting Group LLC of Grand Rapids.
