Former FHA commissioner joins Walker & Dunlop

Walker & Dunlop announced Frank Cassidy, the former commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration and assistant secretary for housing at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has joined as a senior managing director.

In his role, Cassidy “will advise clients on FHA and Government-Sponsored Enterprise financing strategies and work across the firm’s platform to help owners, developers, lenders and investors navigate a changing policy and capital markets environment,” according to a press release.

“Frank returns to Walker & Dunlop at a defining moment in the housing industry,” Sheri Thompson, executive vice president and head of affordable housing at Walker & Dunlop, said in the release. “Our country continues to face a significant housing shortage, and collaboration between the public and private sectors will be essential to delivering more affordable and workforce housing. Frank’s leadership at HUD and deep understanding of FHA programs will be critical in helping clients navigate the evolving finance landscape.”

Two partners promoted at Headwaters Group

Headwaters Group announced Chris Ducay and Jeff Hoffman have been promoted to partners at the company.

In their new roles, Ducay will oversee portfolio management and corporate finance, and Hoffman will oversee all aspects of development, according to a LinkedIn post.

“Their leadership and vision are cornerstones of the business and have played a fundamental role in Headwaters’ success to date,” the post states.

RoseVilla welcomes three board members

RoseVilla Senior Living has appointed Ben Butler, Annie Klug and Renee Anderson to its board of directors.

The additions of Butler and Anderson bring national representation to the board of the nonprofit life plan community for the first time, according to a press release.

Butler currently serves as vice president of development for Arch Consultants Ltd., a Front Porch development company. He also serves on the board of Greens Restaurant, a nationally recognized establishment focused on sustainability and community, according to the release.

Klug was most recently vice president of community programs for the Portland Trail Blazers and executive director of the Trail Blazers Foundation, where she directed community outreach and the team’s alumni and ambassador program, the release states.

Anderson brings nearly three decades of executive experience in senior living leadership, finance and operations and most recently served as president and CEO of Saint John’s On The Lake in Milwaukee.
