Lifespace promotes COO

Lifespace Communities has promoted Andy Kazmierczak to chief operating officer, effective May 1.

In his new role, Kazmierczak will “lead operational performance and strategy execution across Lifespace’s 15 continuing care retirement communities, advancing a mission-driven culture focused on resident experience, team member engagement and operational excellence,” a press release states.

“Andy is a culture champion who brings strong operational leadership, deep knowledge of our communities, and a consistent track record of execution,” Jesse Jantzen, president and CEO of Lifespace Communities, said in the release. “He has played a key role in advancing several of our most important enterprise initiatives and is well-positioned to build on our momentum and drive consistency in performance as we continue our progress toward best-in-class operations.”

Kendal at Lexington welcomes CFO

Kendal at Lexington announced Warren Swanson has joined as its chief financial officer.

He succeeds Felicia Bush, who announced she is retiring in September after working at the community for 20 years. She will remain as a strategic advisor to the community, according to a press release.

Swanson brings more than 35 years of experience to the position, and has “spent a significant portion of his career guiding life plan communities and non-profit organizations,” the release states.

“Hiring a CFO is about more than just numbers; it’s about finding a partner who is passionate about our mission. Warren joins us with both impeccable financial credentials and a deep commitment to the community’s shared values,” CEO Adam Day said in the release.

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America changes executive team

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America is changing its executive team Courtney Plantz as its new president effective June 1.

Plantz is the first woman to serve in the role in the senior living provider’s 77-year history, according to a press release.

Current President and CEO Bruce Shogren will remain as the chief executive officer.

“It’s time to step away from day-to-day operations and enjoy life with my family and grandchildren,” Shogren said in the release. “I will be around during the transition, supporting Courtney and her exceptional ability to build strong relationships.”

Senior Living Communities names regional sales director

Senior Living Communities announced Jack Myers has been appointed as its regional sales director.

In his role, Myers will “collaborate with onsite leadership to enhance operational efficiency, meet revenue targets and increase the market presence of our communities,” according to a press release.

Myers brings more than 15 years of senior living experience to the position. He joined Senior Living Communities as a lifestyle advisor at Wellmore of Daniel Island before advancing to lifestyle advisor mentor, the release states. 

The Kendal Corporation welcomes sales director

The Kendal Corporation appointed Lauryn Moore as its new director of sales and marketing operations on April 27.

In this role, Moore will “help elevate collaborative sales and marketing strategies, support system-wide customer relationship management governance and advance Kendal’s digital infrastructure to support Kendal Affiliates nationwide and further Kendal’s shared mission of transforming the experience of aging,” according to a press release.

Moore brings more than 20 years of experience to the position. She previously served as vice president of marketing and public relations at a multi-state, not-for-profit senior living organization supporting more than 40 communities and programs, the release states.
