LifeSpire of Virginia welcomes board members

LifeSpire of Virginia has added three new members to its board of trustees in Brad Harris, Shannon Shafer and Matt Thornhill.

Harris serves as market president for the Roanoke and Roanoke Valley region at Bank of the James, where he joined in 2016, according to a press release.

Shafer brings more than 30 years of experience to the board. He most recently served as vice president of technology and operations at Wells Fargo Advisors, where he provided strategic oversight for enterprise technology platforms, operational efficiency and support services, the release states.

Thornhill is the founder and president of The Boomer Project, and is also the founder and CEO of Cozy Home Community, the release states. 

Sunbound expands leadership team

Sunbound, a senior revenue operating system provider, has expanded its leadership team as it prepares for growth.

Jiashu Wang joins as chief technology officer; Jeff Merselis joins as chief revenue officer; Amy Raymond joins as chief operating officer; Anh Tran joins as vice president of product; and Jerry Taylor joins as vice president of strategy and business development, according to a press release.

The announcement comes at a time when Sunbound completed an “aggressive year” where it also tripled annual payment volume to over $1 billion and closed a Series A funding round, the release states.

Distinctive Living makes senior vice president promotion

Distinctive Living has promoted Mark Pulaski to senior vice president of business intelligence and asset management.

In his expanded role, Pulaski will “oversee the continued advancement of Distinctive Living’s proprietary business analytics platform, an integrated system designed to transform how the organization evaluates performance, informs strategic decision making and optimizes outcomes across its rapidly growing portfolio,” a press release states.

“This promotion reflects the significant impact Mark has made across our organization,” Joseph Jedlowski, chairman and CEO of Distinctive Healthcare, said in the release. “The future of our company is rooted in data driven decision making and disciplined execution. Mark has developed a truly differentiated platform that allows us to operate with greater precision, move with speed and deliver stronger results for our residents, families and capital partners.”

Benchmark promotes senior campus director

Benchmark Senior Living has promoted Adam Manchester as senior campus executive director.

In this newly created role, Manchester is responsible for operations for all four Benchmark CCRCs, which include Edgehill in Stamford, Connecticut; Meadow Ridge in Redding, Connecticut; New Pond Village in Walpole; and The Commons in Lincoln, located in Lincoln, Massachusetts, according to a press release. 

Manchester has more than 25 years of leadership experience. He started with Benchmark in the home office in 2002, the release states.

Benchmark names executive director

Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings has named Roberto Castello as its executive director.

In his new role, he will “oversee day-to-day operations and lead efforts to deliver high-quality care and service to residents and families,” a press release states.

Castello brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience to the position. He has held management positions at leading hotels in Boston and New York, including Hilton Boston Park Plaza, Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor and Hyatt Grand Central New York, the release states.
