Medford Leas names new president, CEO

Continuing care retirement community Medford Leas has named Len Weiser as its president and CEO following a nationwide search.

Weiser succeeds current President and CEO Jeremy Vickers, who served in the position for 15 years. Weiser will take over the role in late September, a press release states.

Weiser brings over 25 years of senior living and healthcare experience to the role. Previously, he served as an industry consultant and interim CEO of a not-for-profit senior living organization in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, according to the release.

Other titles Weiser has held throughout his career include president and CEO, executive director, nursing home administrator and director of nursing.

Medford Leas is sponsored by The Estaugh, a Quaker-related not-for-profit corporation founded to serve the needs of older adults.

Kiser Group appoints senior housing leader

Kiser Group has hired Brooks Barton as the firm’s director of senior housing.

Barton brings over 20 years of experience to the role. His background “provides a unique perspective on the operational, financial and strategic drivers that shape value creation across independent living, assisted living, memory care and long-term care communities,” according to a press release.

Prior to joining Kiser Group, Barton served as vice president of investments for seniors housing and long-term care at American Healthcare REIT.

The Kiser Group has over 30 years of senior housing experience to the position, and has over $12 billion in completed transactions, the release states.
