Old Republic Title Shifts Direct Operations To Qualia

Old Republic Title is moving its direct operations onto Qualia’s cloud-based platform, marking a technology shift for one of the nation’s largest title insurance underwriters.

The rollout began with Oregon operations moving to Qualia’s system — with transition expected to continue across western states.

“Old Republic’s decision to move its direct operations onto Qualia is both a milestone and a signal,” says Nate Baker, CEO and co-founder of Qualia. “It shows what’s possible when a category-defining institution pairs its history and leadership with a modern operating platform built for scale. This is about setting a foundation — not just for today, but for how title and escrow operates for decades to come.”

Old Republic Title will use Qualia’s Atlas title production system as part of the transition and plans to incorporate the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

“We are energized by the opportunity this opens for us,” says Ivy Anderson, president of Old Republic Title’s western title division. “Qualia brings the industry’s leading smart technology together with a partnership mindset that aligns with our commitment to innovation, service excellence and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

“Together, we’re helping usher in the next era of title services. It’s one that blends our trusted legacy with Qualia’s platform to deliver transformational value for our agents and clients.”

State-by-state rollout

All Old Republic Title branches in Oregon are now operating on Qualia.

In the coming months, branches in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Washington are expected to move onto the platform as part of the western expansion.

The company described the shift as part of a broader modernization effort — replacing multiple systems with Qualia Atlas as its primary title production system.

For Qualia, the project represents one of its largest enterprise deployments to date.

“It’s exceptionally rare for a Big Four underwriter to adopt an external, end-to-end operating system rather than build internally,” says Alex Brown, senior director of professional services leading the Old Republic Title initiative for Qualia. “Even with great technology, projects like this only work when there are strong relationships in place to build trust and enable real collaboration. We’ve been fortunate to build that with the Old Republic team.”

Old Republic Title and Qualia have worked together for years and previously announced a strategic partnership that included Qualia’s acquisition of Old Republic Title’s RamQuest and E-Closing platforms.
