Ascribe has appointed Craig Bennett as chief executive officer, marking a leadership transition as the real estate valuation and inspection services provider enters its next phase of development.

Bennett brings nearly 15 years of senior-level experience in financial services — including five years at StoicLane, Ascribe’s parent company.

He succeeds Jake Nice, who will move into the role of chairman while shifting his focus to broader initiatives within StoicLane, the company said.

“Craig’s expertise and strong track record of growth make him exceptionally well suited to guide Ascribe through its next phase of growth,” Nice said. “His operational expertise and deep understanding of technology-enabled services will serve our clients and partners by further raising the bar for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.”

In his new role, Bennett will oversee Ascribe’s technology platform, service delivery operations and geographic expansion — with a focus on supporting clients across mortgage origination, servicing and default markets.

“I’m honored to join Ascribe at such an important moment,” Bennett said. “The valuation and property services industry is becoming increasingly complex, and clients need partners who deliver accuracy, speed and compliance. Ascribe has the scale, talent and technology to meet that challenge. I look forward to working with our teams to expand our capabilities and deliver exceptional value to our clients.”

Prior to his appointment, Bennett served as vice president and head of technology for StoicLane. Before joining the StoicLane family of companies, he held senior leadership roles at Enova Financial and fintech firms Amount and Avant.

His career includes nearly two decades of experience in technology, product development and operations.

During his tenure at StoicLane, Bennett worked closely with Nice and played a key role in developing Ascribe’s operational structure and client service approach.

As Nice transitions into his new role, Bennett will continue efforts to expand the company’s operational capacity and long-term scalability, leaders added.
