Reso Fills 2026 Board Seats, Taps New Executive Committee

The Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) has filled nine open seats on its 2026 Board of Directors following a vote of its membership.

Director appointments and executive committee members were also finalized for the coming year.

RESO Board Chair Rebecca Jensen — president and CEO of Midwest Real Estate Data — said this year’s election drew strong competition among technology candidates.

“The campaign for technology company seats was particularly competitive this year,” she said. “Innovation is at the core of creating data standards, and we are thrilled by our tech community’s willingness to lead the organization forward with the MLS, association and brokerage industries.”

Newly elected board members

Four candidates won seats representing technology companies, developers and industry partners:

• Ethan Bailey, senior director, software engineering and technology, Cotality
• Bob Evans, SVP, industry relations, Realtor.com/Move
• Eric Stegemann, CEO, Solid Earth
• Dan Troup, CEO, Broker Public Portal

Five additional winners will represent MLSs and real estate associations:

• Katy Davenport, director of product management, FMLS
• Shayne Fairley, COO, Stellar MLS
• Melissa King, COO, OneKey MLS
• Janine Sieja, SVP, product development, Realtors Property Resource

Board appointments

• Richard Renton, CEO, Triad MLS (continuing as treasurer)
• Michael Wurzer, president and CEO, FBS
• Joseph Szurgyi, CEO, MLS Grid
• Dan Ray, director of product development, REcore
• Matt Hendricks, VP, industry affairs, Zillow (board advisor)
• Ross Buck, CEO, Omni MLS (board advisor)

Executive committee leadership

The following members will serve on the executive committee through 2026:

• Chair: Rebecca Jensen, president and CEO, MRED
• Vice Chair: John Breault, VP, MLS, State-Wide MLS
• Secretary: Melissa King, COO, OneKey MLS
• Treasurer: Richard Renton, CEO, Triad MLS

Two outgoing board members — Matt Cohen of Cotality and Marty Reed of Recore — will complete their terms this year.

RESO CEO Sam DeBord said the diversity of the board is central to its mission.
