Sagent Appoints Chris Marshall As New Ceo

Sagent, a leading provider of mortgage servicing technology, announced on Monday the appointment of Chris Marshall as CEO.

Marshall, who is Sagent‘s board chairman, will retain that role. He will also work closely with Sagent’s customers and prospects, including many of the country’s top mortgage servicers, to implement Sagent’s end-to-end Dara platform at scale.

Current CEO Geno Paluso will become Sagent’s vice chairman and serve as a senior adviser during the leadership transition, a company press release confirmed.

Marshall will run day-to-day operations with the Sagent executive team and work closely with Paluso during the leadership transition.

Dara by Sagent offers a cloud-native, real-time, end-to-end servicing platform for the $14.6 trillion U.S. mortgage servicing market. It uses a single core system to unify data and deliver an AI-integrated user experience across the full servicing life cycle — including core, consumer and default operations.

“As a Sagent board leader since 2022, my primary focus has been to ensure Sagent had world-class leaders like Geno Paluso, and the long-term resources needed to build the industry’s top mortgage servicing technology team and platform,” Marshall said in a statement.

Marshall previously served as vice chairman and president of Mr. Cooper, helping to grow the company into the nation’s largest mortgage servicer. He also held top executive roles at Ally Bank, Fifth Third Bank and Bank of America.
