Minto Communities USA closes on 3,170 acre purchase
Minto Communities USA closed on a 3,170 acres property in Waxahachie, Texas with the intent to develop a 13,270-home master planned community.
The community will feature an active adult neighborhood and a traditional community supported by approximately 140 acres of mixed-use development, a press release states.
“Waxahachie offers exceptional connectivity to major interstates, medical facilities, local services, and area amenities. It also provides close proximity to Dallas, giving residents convenient access to one of the region’s major economic and cultural hubs,” Minto Division President Dutch Neuweiler said in the release.
American House grows in Florida
American House Senior Living continues its growth with the addition and rebranding of The Palms of Fort Myers.
Following the acquisition, American House now has 12 communities in Florida, according to a press release.
The 218-unit community includes 148 independent living, 47 assisted living and 23 memory care apartments, the release states.
BWE facilitates sale, financing in Nashville
BWE’s senior housing capital markets team announced the successful sale and financing of The Capstone at Station Camp in the Nashville metropolitan area.
The 100-unit community is operated by TerraBella Senior Living, according to a press release.
BWE represented the seller, Hunt Midwest to a Texas-based healthcare investor, the release states.

MorningStar assumes management of Colorado community
MorningStar Senior Living has assumed management and rebranded a senior living community in Longmont, Colorado.
Formerly known as Balfour Longmont, it will now operate under the brand name MorningStar Senior Living of Longmont, a press release states.
“We’re pleased to expand our presence in Northern Colorado,” Ken Jaeger, founder and CEO of MorningStar, said in the release. “And look forward to infusing all the warmth of MorningStar into this established community while offering an ideal choice for area seniors to remain in the city they love on the Front Range.”

Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site of Philadelphia rebrands
Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site of Philadelphia has been renamed to Kimmel Architecture.
Alongside the rebrand, the company opened a new office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, reinforcing its “community-driven design across Western Pennsylvania, the greater Pittsburgh region, Western New York, West Virginia and Ohio,” according to a press release.
Additionally, Kimmel Architecture is shifting its focus to senior living.
