SERHANT. announced on Monday that technology and fintech veteran Greg Chan will be the firm’s chief technology officer.

Chan will oversee the company’s technology operations and product development — including work related to artificial intelligence (AI) and internal platforms used by agents.

“Greg Chan joins us at a time when SERHANT. Technologies is accelerating our mission to build the most advanced AI-powered platform in real estate,” said Ryan Serhant, founder and CEO of SERHANT. “With S.MPLE already transforming how our agents work, Greg will now lead the next phase: scaling our infrastructure, productizing our technology and expanding the enterprise value of everything we’ve built. He’s the perfect partner as we define what the future of tech-enabled sales looks like.”

The company’s technology efforts center on S.MPLE — an internal operating system used by agents that combines customer relationship management, marketing tools, transaction management and performance tracking in a single platform.

Chan brings 25 years of experience in technology and financial services. He began his career at Microsoft, where he worked on Microsoft Office products, and later spent more than a decade at Amazon in senior technology roles.

Most recently, he was chief technology officer at Akoya, a financial data access firm, where he worked on expanding its data network and launching a software-as-a-service platform for financial institutions.

“I’m incredibly energized by SERHANT.’s vision and the scale of opportunity ahead,” Chan said. “By thoughtfully combining AI-driven technology with high-impact services across the SERHANT. ecosystem, we can dramatically increase agent productivity and fundamentally change how the real estate industry operates. What excites me most is the culture: bold thinking, deep collaboration and a genuine focus on clients.”

Chan holds a master of business administration degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management and serves on the board of the Center for Disaster Philanthropy.

SERHANT. was founded in 2020 and supports more than 1,500 agents across 14 markets.
