Douglas Elliman has gained a top producing agent in Houston. On Tuesday, Dana Johnson announced that she was leaving Compass after six years to join Douglas Elliman.

Johnson’s announcement comes less than a week after Compass announced it had closed its acquisition of Anywhere Real Estate.

“At this stage of my career, I was looking for a brokerage that understands my vision, supports how I work, and allows me to scale thoughtfully. Douglas Elliman offers a luxury-focused platform and strong leadership that enable me to continue building intentionally while delivering exceptional service to my clients,” Johnson wrote in an email.

According to the announcement, Johnson closed $100 million in sales volume in 2025. She has spent more than a decade in the real estate industry and has accumulated $400 million in career sales. She has worked with luxury residential real estate, new construction and investment properties.

In 2024, Johnson closed 57 transaction sides, representing $73.23 million in sales volume, according to RealTrends Verified data. Her performance led her to a top-10 ranking for sales volume in Houston in the 2025 RealTrends Verified Rankings.
