Seahawks Head Coach Mike Macdonald Is Expecting A Daughter In December
Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald is expecting the birth of his second child, a daughter, in December. He announced this on the Dan Patrick Show one week ago today at the American Century Championship, a popular celebrity golf tournament at the Edgewood Tahoe Club.
The full interview is only eleven minutes long, so you can watch it here:
At the very end, he mentions “we got another on the way” when talking about having kids with Patrick. He mentioned that he and his wife Stephanie will be expecting a girl in December. When Patrick joked about them using the name “Samantha” after Sam Darnold, Macdonald mentioned he had a name picked out, but that wasn’t it.
Macdonald also showed his humility through some self-deprecating humor and honest remarks, saying that “you start asking me for design tips, you’re going in the wrong direction” when asked about the Super Bowl Rings. Although Jason of Beverly Hills may have designed the rings, “M.O.B.” and “12 AS ONE” are Macdonald mantras, both of which made it onto the sides of the ring. Let’s just say his design skills all went to designing defensive schemes and NFL locker room cultures, and it’s what makes him special. However, he’s finally been able to enjoy some time with his family after soaring to new heights to begin 2026, which will help the Seahawks evolve into the “Run It Forward” team this fall.
