General Mills, Golden Valley, announced the election of Chief Operating Officer Dana McNabb to succeed Jeff Harmening as chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1. Harmening will become executive chair of the board of directors. McNabb has been with the company for 27 years, and has held several senior leadership positions; she currently leads all four General Mills operating segments and key operating functions, including North America Retail, North America Pet, North America Foodservice, International, Sales, Supply Chain, and Innovation, Technology and Quality.

Securian Financial, St. Paul, announced that Thomas P. Brennan III has joined the company as head of distribution, strategic initiatives and partnerships for the company’s Institutional Retirement Solutions business. Brennan has held executive positions with Transamerica, Ascensus, Definiti and TIFIN @Work. … Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Co., a Minneapolis-based provider of lawyers’ professional liability insurance and risk management services, announced  the appointment of Charlie Trepanier as chief financial officer. Trepanier most recently served as vice president of finance and controller at Aegle Capital, an insurtech startup. He spent over a decade at Constellation, a medical professional liability insurer. … The Synthesis Organization, a Minneapolis-based business consultant, announced the appointments of Stan Malinowski as chief operating officer and Anson Mar as vice president of strategic relationships. Malinowski succeeds Gwen Graefe, who transitions to chief production officer for the company’s Title, Escrow & Closing business line.

StoryPoint Group, a national chain of assisted-living communities, announced it is expanding into Minnesota with 17 properties across the state. Seven senior

living communities formerly operating under the New Perspective name in the Twin Cities area officially transitioned to the StoryPoint brand on Sept. 1. … Prime Therapeutics, an Eagan-based pharmacy benefits manager, announced the appointment of Manmohan Mahajan as chief financial officer. Most recently, Mahajan served as executive vice president and global CFO for Walgreens Boots Alliance. … Hudson Physicians, a Hudson, Wis.,-based medical practice, announced the retirement of Dr. Robert Stoy effective Sept. 22. Andersen Corp., a Bayport-based maker of windows and doors for the residential market, announced it has named Kelly McLain senior vice president and chief legal officer. She succeeds Andrea Nordaune, who is retiring. McLain joined Andersen in 2025 as vice president and general counsel for the Andersen Division; prior to joining Andersen, McLain served as associate general counsel at Cargill. … Northern Technologies International Corp., a Circle Pines, Minn.-based maker of bio-based resins and polymers for business applications, announced the following leadership changes, effective Sept. 4: Gautam Ramdas named president and chief executive officer, succeeding G. Patrick Lynch, who was named chairman. Ramdas also joins the board of directors. Richard Nigon, outgoing chairman, has been appointed lead independent director. Brian Haglund has been promoted to chief operating officer from vice president of operations – North America.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal announced it has named Phil Pina managing editor. He succeeds Mark Reilly, who was promoted to editor in chief at th epublication this year following the retirement of Dirk DeYoung. Pina most recently was weekend editor at the Minnesota Star Tribune and prior to that was with the Pioneer Press as a reporter and editor.

The Owatonna Area Business Development Center, Main Street Owatonna and Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism announced the opening of Rose Street Center at 115 East Rose St. The business facility features The Commons, a coworking space for startups, small-business owners and remote workers; The Retail Collective, the Owatonna Makerspace, and The Craft Apothecary.
