[ct] Fired By Chipotle, They Withheld A Month Of Pay And Deleted My Timecard. How Do I Fight This?

Card image cap

I worked as a trainee/crew member at a ****** in Connecticut for about a month. I was abruptly fired, and the company has completely withheld my wages for the entire time I worked there. Management has deactivated my portal access and deleted my recorded hours to cover it up.The Workplace Injury & Harassment:While on shift, I suffered a severe, painful burn injury. Instead of helping, management dismissed it completely. I had to walk to an urgent care clinic on my own, where I spent three hours being treated.I still wanted to work and earn money, so I asked to do computer training or work the cashier station to respect my doctor's physical restrictions. A manager told me my training was a "waste of their time" and harassed me to return to a kitchen position I physically could not do. On top of that, team members repeatedly called me derogatory names that were nowhere close to my actual name. The Retaliation:Because of the severe harassment and refusal to accommodate my injury, I walked off the kitchen floor. My hiring manager intervened, validated my situation, and told me to keep training until I could transfer to a new store location. However, the moment I showed up at the new store to start my shifts, they fired me on the spot.Current Status:I contacted Corporate HR and filed a complaint with the Connecticut Department of Labor (CT DOL), but I still have not seen a single dollar of the money I am owed. Location: Kensington CT
