A Realtor With The Help Of Family Members I Don’t Know Tried To Sell My Father’s Home Without My Knowledge

Card image cap

Location: Washington State

First off I’ll start up by saying this is in Washington state that might make a little difference. My father died a few years back, and I had no idea that he left a home. a few months later I get a call from some family members that I have never met stating that my father had a will and his home goes to someone I don’t know by then the homes assets were liquidated. The home was shown listed online and waiting for Escrow close. when the title company stopped the sale from what I understand they were trying to use a fake will, and the title company stopped it because the document did not look legit. When dealing with People who has passed homes don’t you have to check for heirs normally? for a few weeks, I tried to get the will from the agent But they never provided me that. My father estate was over 100 K. The realtor was trying to get me to sign an affidavit lack of probate stating his estate was under $100,000 which was not true. why would they do that? right now, I went to the ethic committee and the department of license what can I do legally and can I sue them for damaging the estate both realtor and the family members? I feel like I almost fell for One of those schemes in Washington. if anyone can provide any advice that would help I would appreciate because I’m on my own on this. oh a little more to the story the realtor they were dealing with sold my father his home five years prior they deals in commercial real estate normally so I don’t know why They would be doing residential. again any advise will help
