Abandoned Llc (?)

Card image cap

Location: Texas

So years ago, I think around 3, maybe more? I registered a business with the state of Texas. I was in the process of trying to start selling baked goods and handmade jewelry at different booths and markets. I was very much in the planning stages and thought I had just researched registering the business (it’s required for some stalls), but the other day my mom mentioned that I had done it. I don’t remember this, but apparently I had gone ahead and registered it with my mom there with me (we were doing it together). I believe I probably did it as an LLC, but I’m not sure. I ended up having to abandon the business idea for the time, and have never done anything with it or filed taxes for it or anything. I’ve asked my mom to go through the mail she’s gotten to see if we have gotten any letters about it, but considering how long it’s been and how she often loses or barely checks the mail, I’m not sure if she’ll find any letters about it.

I went to my email and it looks like I’ve gotten an email from the state comptroller of public accounts each year for the last few years saying that my tax account isn’t current, but when I log in (I was suspicious of the email at first, so I double checked the links and just looked it up instead), nothing pops up on Webfile. For a while I was getting 10+ spam calls a day so I had set my phone to where it wouldn’t ring if the number was unidentified, instead it would notify me of the number that called and allow them to leave a voicemail, so there’s a chance I could’ve missed any calls about it.

I mostly wanted to ask if, because it’s been completely inactive and all, if it was marked so by the state, or if it can harm me in some way in the future. I never did anything with the business but I know I could have racked up fees from not filing or anything.
