Bother Not Making Payments

A few years ago I co signed for my older brother on his mortgage he told he was gonna refinance the mortgage after a year or 2 to remove it off my name everything was going good for a few years he wasn’t missing any payments and my credit was going up a lot but in 2024 he stopped making payments on the mortgage he didn’t tell me until I got served by the bank I called him and he quickly made the payment but I also asked him if he was gonna start the refinance process and he said he was a year goes by and I get an email from the Boise utilities saying there’s a late payment for utilities I sent him the email and he said he’s gonna take care of it a couple months go by and I get an alert on my phone saying my credit has changed I look and it says that an account has been reported as delinquent I asked him if he made the payments and he just left me on read he eventually did make the payment but the damage was done my score went from the 785 to 660 and now he’s always late on the utility bill and it keeps getting reported as delinquent I can’t get a hold of him he keeps leaving me on read is there anything that I can do I’m 26 and planning on buying my own house in a few years but I feel like it’s gonna be almost impossible with this on my record
