Hi, I'm looking for some advice on this case

My wife and I had a fight early in the morning, and she pulled up a knife. She dropped it pretty quickly within 30 seconds and didn't hurt me, and then we talked for 20 mins. I ended up calling the police and I did say in the 911 call that I'm threatened for my life. She got arrested, and bailed out by me.

But the DA office is filing misdemeanor for brandishing and criminal threats misdemeanor, and I'm now really worried about the scenario where she ends up in jail. She has had tons of mental health issues in the past, and I don't know what to do with this anymore. We're doing couple therapy and individual therapies, including her going to psychiatrist to help her with mood disorders in the meanwhile to get over this, and talk about our issues in the meanwhile, but I'm very scared, and depressed of what's going to happen to my wife. A small mistake might end her up in jail?

What is our best and worst possible outcome out of this? And is there a legal way for us to drop the charges since nobody was hurt, and my wife's mental state at the time lead to her taking these actions.

I'm talking to a lawyer but I'm still not fully convinced by him and I'm looking for second opinions.
