Can A Judge Order A Person To Get Rid Of Cats In A Divorce? (mo)

Location: [Mo] i . Im going through a very difficult divorce. My ex was abusive and after he assaulted me we split. He tried some shenanigans with marital property and assets.

But a little bit of back story. We have allowed people to stay with us throughout the years. We have a fairly large house, and i've been in this house for more than ten years. And people who stayed here left stuff. And they also did not treat it very nicely in some cases.

In august, I had to have emergency spinal surgery and to this day, i'm still not supposed to lift, bend or drive for more than forty five minutes. I'm essentially disabled already. But my ex's mother came across a post that I had given advice on somebody who was going to be homeless. Who wanted somebody to take care of their cat for them? I offered to help her find a good place or person. They also came across something on reddit, that I did, where I helped transport an animal in need..

Because of the surgery, I could not get the house fully clean, and because he had refused to let me do anything to get rid of stuff like sell it, or junk it. The house was even more messy than it should have been. It took ten junk trucks to get all of the junk out, and we probably could have used another three or four.

.. And that brings me to this my x through this temper tantrum about my cats. Because apparently my very sweet kitty, that stays under my bed. In my room ruined the carpet in a back room that had been there for at least fifteen years, went through three dogs at the same time. Toddlers and other people living back there.. Heathrow fit and the judge ordered for me to get rid of my cat.. my cat doesn't even go back there.

I feel like I shouldn't have to take him back to the rescue... something feels off about it. Animals are property, and kitty was adopted after the spilt. He isnt a flerrkin.. he literally stays under my bed or in my room as far away from the room they are claiming he destroyed.
