Can A Person Remove You Off A Home Title W/o Your Permission?

Isssue: Been in a relationship for 17 years. 15 of those years we "co-owned" our house. When we were signing all papers "they" ,(title company), couldnt fit my name on the document... so the title company said they would have to draw up all paperwork again starting from. The beginning. That wouldve delayed the sale for additional weeks. We had a few foster care kids and we had to move into the house ASAP because of threats.

The title person made an appointment to come back later in the week and add my name.

That appointment had to be moved. We played tag for a while and then I blew it off saying ill get it done. So, because we weren't married, my partner had to get the mortgage for VA alone. I was making the mortgage payment, and gave the down payment.

So, after years I decided it was time to get my name on the house. DUH

My name was now on Title. Her name is on mortgage.

So its listed at the assessors office for 50/50 title.

So everything we get into an argument my partner, iam told "I can just go down there and take you name off when or if I want to... what a bitch. She has said she looked into it even with an attorney and she can do it?

Wtf?

There's a lot of other issues like ive been unemployed since 2023 so theres a lack of payment since and thats being used against me, although after I lost the job, she said, "dont worry I ll take care of you...

I know its time to leave but how do I get my 50% and can she remove my name?
