Can My Ex-husband Post Divorce Sue Me For Inheritance Used To Put A Down Payment On A Marital Home We No Longer Own?

Location: Kansas. I'm located in Kansas, we divorced in Missouri. I will try to keep this short.

My ex-husband before we married received an $80,000 inheritance from his late grandmother. We both agreed to use it for a down payment on a house. Both of our names were on the mortgage.

We also used some of it for our wedding, which he agreed to. 8 months after we were married, I found out he was having an affair and left him. We sold the house, and split the $3000 left 50/50.

We did not address financials in our divorce, we just wanted it to be over. We had a joint savings account that he took all of the funds from due to it being his inheritance. This happened before the actual divorce. We also sold the home before divorcing, and had no other shared assets. So everything was split before court.

In addition to this, I've been solely making payments for 3 years now on a line of credit we took out together for a repair. I contacted him recently and asked that he finish making payments on the loan that we are both co-borrowers on. He is refusing, saying that we had a "verbal agreement" that I would make all of the payments myself. That is not true, and I'm not sure how he would prove it in court if it was true any way.

Now he is saying that he could come after me for the use of the inheritance funds for the house. What is the best way to proceed? Can he legally do anything about this even though the divorce is finalized and his name is on the line of credit for home repair?
