Car Accident Advice

Location: Canada

I'm looking for some general advice. I was in a car accident on Nov. 26th, and my car has been deemed a total loss.

To start, the car who hit mine hit another the same not. He also went up an offramp. They could not verify the driver, but it is being handled with the owners insurance.

Basically, he just completely sideswiped me. I was lucky, because he was going around 100 km/h, and the other person he hit followed him which led to me having dashcam footage. The police file has been concluded, so my insurance can view this footage now + the officers even made a note saying I'm not at fault. The damage is purely cosmetic, but he metal has been revealed in some spots so they would have to replace the side of my car, there is no structural or mechanical that I'm aware of.

I don't really know what to do. I'm thinking of closing/not proceeding with the claim because my cars value is probably around $3000. The problem is that I need my car and cannot afford to buy a new one. Even with the payout, I cannot afford it. I'm a highschool student making minimum wage and my hours have been cut down since the holidays (30h a week to less than 10). I'm probably going to have to get a second job as I do not have anyone who can help me financially.

I'm injured from the accident, so if I don't go forward with the claim, will my injuries be covered? What is my best choice?
