Civil Suit

I was wondering if it’s possible to sue for child abuse and neglect. A little context; from the ages of 6-9 (i’m 19 now)I was sexually abused by my grandmother’s boyfriend and he was convicted, when I first told my school an investigation took place right away and he was removed from the household. My grandmother continued letting him sleep in a car outside MY window, forced phone calls between us where he would tell me that I needed to forgive him and tell the cops I was lying because “God had forgiven him” and also brought her friends to the house frequently to try and coerce me into saying it wasn’t true. There was no physical evidence for my case, not because it was non existent but because my grandmother also refused to bring me to get a rape kit or checkup until 6 months after the initial statement (this was used as evidence in court) and then turned me over to dcfs so she could marry him in jail. I was wondering if it would be possible to sue my grandmother? we live in different states now and it’s been years so i’m not sure if i’m too late. location:florida her location: louisiana
