Colorado: Harassed And Threatened By Property Manager

Location: Colorado

Recently, my gf lost her car and therefore her income. She expressed this to her property manager who offered her a couple gigs clearing out and painting recently vacant apartments in the property. Shortly after taking on those jobs the property manager became hostile, and threatened not to pay for the work she did. My partner reported some of this to the owner of the complex who just said to figure it out.

This morning she woke up to a massive text message from said property manager threatening to contact my partner’s abusive ex and tell him she is seeing someone else. She also began harassing her by telling her that I’m actually married because I mostly visit her in the evening, which indicates she has been keeping tabs on me for some time now. (For the record, I’m not married, just have a day job)

We are both in a financial bind at the moment. But I hate that this is happening and was hoping we could be pointed in the right direction, instead of doing something stupid like confronting the property manager, which I really want to.
