Company Not Releasing Info About A Film I Acted In- Confused On Appropriate Steps

Card image cap

LOCATION: NEW YORK

About 15 years ago, I starred in a film. It was erotica, there was nudity and it might be considered "soft porn" as there was no actual sex acts. I was underage and the director was on Craigslist- I REALLY needed money to get back home and this was paying $200. I met the director in a bar, he bought me lots of drinks, and then we planned to meet the following week and film.

We did, and I made the money I needed and got back home. Fast forward about 10 years, and I wanted the stills and videos of vulnerable broke ass 17 year old me offline, so I contacted the director and he obliged.

It's been about 4 years since that, and I've now found some third party selling thousands of the discs he had that he presumably was unable to sell. They claim I was 19 years old (I was in fact not) and that they have release forms and all communications with "producers" (it was 1 guy but ok). However, now that I see they have an inaccurate age for me, I am pressing them to tell me when they think my birthday is, and they will not. I sort of understand why they would do this from a privacy standpoint, but also, I do not remember any release forms, much less saying he could sell this media to whoever he wanted including my ID and more (however again it's been over a decade so my memory could be off there- but the whole underage, director interviewed me by buying me drinks in a bar, part is sort of the glaring issue). They are asking for ID, but I'm scared to give my ID to some random company online.

Advice on how to proceed? Do actors have rights to their release forms?
