Could I Be Sued If I Post A Video Of Exposing My Brother For Being A Creep?
My brother has made inappropriate advances towards me in this past month, each escalating when I kept telling him no. At first, he was apologetic, then went to spam calling/texting me, then he flew to my city when I told I didn't want to see him, and I literally had to leave university for a week because I was worried about my safety.
My parents enabled him, my mom also flying out with my brother, saying she would help mediate the conflict, despite me fearing for my own personal safety. Since I am the adopted sibling, and he is her biological one, they naturally took his side. They cut me off because I disrespected them, was not doing what they wanted me to, and I ended up yelling at my dad because I was so angry. I am no longer being financially supported by them, and have made my peace with it.
My brother's harassment hasn't stopped. He got four friends to comment derogatory things on my instagram and dm'ed me truly horrific things. I am sure he maniuplated this entire situation in favor of himself. I have text receipts, phone logs, and screenshots of the instagram messages. I was thinking of posting a video online exposing my face and identity, and his as well, to expose him as a creep as well as hoping the harassment stops. I am trying to keep myself safe as I don't if this will escalate.
The only thing is my parents are wealthy and have a lot of resources. If I posted proof, could I get sued for defamation or something like that? I am sorry if this a stupid question, but I need to cover my bases since I don't have enough money to be dragged into court.
Location: My parents live in Oregon, my brother in California, and I live in NY.
