Dealership Gave Us Wrong Truck

A month ago we test drove a truck fell in love with it and purchased it. A week ago we got a call from the dealership, while we’re on our way to Florida, that the vehicle that we were driving does not match the VIN number on our paperwork. What the salesman told us was he pulled paperwork for a different truck, but pulled keys for the truck we thought we were purchasing. Which is the one we test drove and had been driving for a month.

We got the call about an hour into our drive and turned around to go pick up the other truck. We only did that because we were driving around in a truck that wasn’t registered to us and we didn’t want anything to happen if we were to be pulled over in a different state.

The trucks are the same model, same year. The only thing wrong with the truck that matches the paperwork, is that there are scratches all over the car, there’s no tint and there’s a crack in the windshield that has been sealed. So it’s all cosmetic, but it’s not something we would’ve bought if he had pulled that truck for us to test drive. we absolutely love the other truck. It was perfect.

now that we are back from vacation, my question is, is there something that we can do? we just want the truck that we thought we purchased, but the dealership is saying that we can’t.
