Fbi Paid Me A Visit
so today after my husband got home from work the FBI (one agent) came knocking on my door and immediately told me that i was not in trouble but actually a victim of a crime. turns out i was a victim of the Matthew Weiss breach case. he had me identify some explicit photos of myself that were taken MANY years ago and apparently saved to my icloud and stolen by Matthew. i have never even heard of Matthew Weiss before this and am assuming he had my info from when i attended a university as a student athlete (not Michigan) i was not a minor when said photos were taken. then asked me multiple questions and was on his way.
my question is: do i need to call a lawyer to get in with a class action lawsuit? i’m just really not sure how to proceed with something like this…am i automatically in that lawsuit if they know who i am and know that i am one of the victims? the agent didn’t touch on any of this really and honestly i was so stunned that an FBI agent was even standing in my living room telling me this that i didn’t even think to ask.
