Fight With Gf Turned Physical.

Location: Atlanta. I 22M got into a fight with my Gf 21F she turned very violent because I would not let her back into my apartment after she left super upset and claiming she was going home. She came back around 10 minutes later claming she left her AirPods. I didn't see them I told her she was not coming in but if she could ping then I would hear them if they were actually in my house and I'd give them to her. She refused to ping then instead started full sprint and kicking into my door like she was Bruce Lee ???????? I do have a roomate she he works remote during the day around this time. I did not want to disrpute his money bc of her loud childish ways. and I couldn't get her to stop to I assumed letting her in to "find" her AirPod would be the best course of action. Upon letting her in she immediately attacked me pulling my hair out and scratching me up real good to the point where I have cuts on my neck that were bleeding. I never hit her back or anything. I did drag her out of my apartment before slamming the door and locking it. I called the police and I am pressing charges on here. I'm curious how does this work the officers didn't explain too much into detail and I was till kind of in shock when they arrived I've never been attacked by someone that said they "loved me" my neck injuries were enough alone that the officer recommended I go to the hospital. Will she be locked up? How long will it take? Will I be notified? Or is there a way to tell if they put a warrant out for her?
