Greystar - Denied Reasonable Accommodation To Provide Renewed Esa Letter

Am I being discriminated against? Is this legal? I went to pay my rent this morning and it was nearly $1000 higher than normal. I figured this was a misunderstanding regarding my recent lease renwal for March. I called the leasing office and they said they didnt receive my form due to management transition (now managed by #Greystar) and having a new email address, so they charged me month-to-month. They said they would adjust the base rent but with the additional fees of $300 pet deposit and monthly pet rent. I explained that I provided my #ESAletter to the previous managent and they should have it on file. Greystar claims they "lost" it and dont have record of my letter but that ESA letters in colorado should be renewed annually. This is news to me as it was never requested previously. I asked if i were to sign the renewal with the pet fees if they would be refunded to me once i provide a new ESA and they said the deposit is refundable upon move out and pet rent would cease but none of it would be automatically refunded to me. Rent is due in 4 days and they are demanding I renew the lease with the pet fees, provide a new letter, or continue on month-to-month. I requested they honor my agreement with the previous management while I acquire a new ESA letter and they denied my request. I dont want to be evicted over this, but I dont feel it's right and I'm worried if I sign the lease with pet fees I'd be misclassifying my animals as pets and that would create problems if this were to lead to court. Plus it's a decent chunk of money when not anticipating it.
