I Got A Ticket From Animal Services For Animals That Aren't Mine

I work at a Jumping place where we also have a petting zoo with animals. None of the employees when hired have been told that we have to take care of the petting zoo animals ie. feeding, watering, piking up cow patties. But none of us are farm folk and want to do it but our boss put animals in the zoo and told us to keep them up with the pens. We have had multiple reports and visits from animal services since the animals came.

As of recent they got told that they couldnt have the animals at the park because their permit was expired but still had animals. My boss said the animal services people were lying and their permit is still valid. But we have to stay on top of the animals or we would get a violation. Animal services has stated multiple times that the animals need shade and water in this Texas heat. (Perfectly reasonable request). We have 8 pens and 4 pens were occupied and had shade. But when summer ended they brought even more animals and now we had 7 pens total and three of them didnt have shade.

This is where I need help

Today animal services came by to check on the animals. I fed them and watered them and made sure everyone was taken care of. I was attending a guest and the officer went on his own to check the animals which is alright. When he came back he told me that he had to issue me a ticket because im in charge even tho im the only one here. He said that we failed to provide shade for the animals. The permit was expired. And the animals didnt have water. He took my ID and gave me a ticket saying to call the number on the back. After the officer left I went to the back to check on the animals again and found our alpacas threw both water buckets after I had given them water. (Im like come on man I gave them water its not my fault they threw it)

I took a picture of the citation stating we have to remove the animals within 24 hours or they will take legal action. Which is on them. But my park received the ticket in my name since I was "in charge" since my boss wasn't at work today and its always only 1 person on staff. Lucky me right

What are the next steps I should take to deal with this ticket
