I'm In The Middle Of A Dispute With State Farm.

Location: illinois

Three years ago, a distracted woman crashed into me on the highway... total loss and a dislocated shoulder! I had full coverage, so my insurance company paid me for the SUV...

but my shoulder gave me a lot of trouble; I was in therapy for almost eight months, getting cortisone injections and seeing lots of doctors.

One day, my lawyer called to tell me State Farm had made an offer of $21k, and that we weren't going to accept it because the medical expenses alone came to $50k! That amount blew my mind.

Now my case is stalled—my court date isn't until January 2027—and I don't really know what my case is worth.

I have a few questions... will the insurance company really pay that much for a shoulder problem? I mean, I assume they have some sort of fee schedule based on the injury... my shoulder is genuinely messed up; in fact, I need surgery.

Now I don't know how it will be resolved or how much I'll end up receiving.
