I Tried To Walk Into Traffic During My Break. How Do I Proceed With Going Back To Work?

I work for a coffee company (you know the one) specifically in Colorado, I transferred here for the summertime while I’m off school. I mainly work in another state, but I don’t believe it’s relevant since nothing took place there. This summer, I had to transfer stores twice because I didn’t adjust well.

I haven’t been doing well in my personal life, this is my second job and I’m mainly work this one because it was a good distraction from everything else going on in my life. However, the I’m at now store is an absolute fucking nightmare. So much so that when I was sent on my 10min break, I don’t know what happened everything just came crashing at me all at once, and I decided to walk into the road. Right before I was hit, the lady stopped got out of her car and recognized that I wasn’t OK and we called the suicide hotline. I ended up being taken to the hospital during my shift. I know that one of the police officers went inside to go get my things before they took me. I did ask them if they informed my coworkers/manager and they said that it’s none of their business and they don’t really need to know what’s going on, which I agree with.

Now that I’m out of the hospital, I know that I need to reach out and let them know what happened. A condition that I made with the hospital (Therapist) is that I would leave that store in order to be discharged. However I don’t want to quit I just want to go on LOA so I can transfer back to my home store at the end of summer.

I will add for context 2 to 3 days before this there was an incident between me and my manager, in which the upper manager sided with her, and I have a distinct feeling that they planned an on firing me because of that. I also have a feeling that since they don’t understand what happened, I’m scared that they might consider this to be shift abandonment and I have a strong feeling they’ll fire me this. How do I go about this?
