I Was Terminated Without Notice, For Complaining That I Felt A Co Worker Who Was My Superior Treated Me Differently Because Of My Race

It was the second complaint in a matter of 2 years. The first time, he had made comments mentioning that my race looks like trouble before we even speak, and some other inappropriate comments that cornered me. He had to do a training course on diversity in the workplace at that time. My manager didn’t look happy that I came to him about it and he was newly a manager at that time, so I think he was advised by his own boss to make him do a course.

For this time, I complained to my manager again that I can never speak up in our pre floor meetings because he will instantly talk over me, or interrupt me, to the point that I stopped participating. I sent him a message letting him know how frustrating it felt, that it feels targeted, and I can’t help that since the first infraction based on how he said he feels about people like me, it is because of my race. No reply, called and no answer.

when I went to work the next day, my badge access was gone. I had to turn around because I couldn’t access the property, and went home. I called and called and texted with no answer. I got a notice in the mail and email saying I voluntarily resigned and next steps of cobra coverage, etc

Do I have a case at all? Should I bother contacting a lawyer for a consultation? If not, as confused and horrible I feel, i will find another job. My state is an at will employment state which up until this point I never considered to dive deep into the language of, so I feel like I am just SOL and regret everything that’s led up to this point, and am mad at myself for letting someone at work get to me that way
