Is This Illegal Or Just Plain Unethical?

My husband (47) and stepdaughter (17) have been having a rough go and have been seeing a therapist to work on their relationship. In this process, we found out that we are expecting a child ourselves and have been very cautious in considering how to tell my stepdaughter as we want to ensure this is joyous news and that she doesn’t feel replaced or put out.
My husband in a 1-on-1 session had asked the therapist how best to try and address this and she gave some advice that he was working towards.
Today , I got a text from my stepdaughter congratulating me on my pregnancy… but we hadn’t shared that yet. I asked her HOW she found out and it turns out that this therapist took it upon herself to share it in a 1-on-1 with stepdaughter…. Is this illegal or just purely unethical?
What should we do at this point? This therapist has stolen a very important moment from us and as you can imagine my stepdaughter is not so thrilled about how she was notified.
