Is This Libel Case Something To Worry About?

I told the president of my ex's high school organization about some bigoted statements she used to say a lot during our relationship while also acknowledging she might no longer believe those things. the president asked other members of the organization if they ever heard something similar as well and a few members stepped up and confirmed they heard similar statements. she didn't get a leadership position she wanted because of her bigoted statements--which I initially brought up. I am now receiving threats of being sued for defamation/libel because she found out I brought it up to the president in a text conversation privately. I am also receiving threats of a restraining order even though I only did this because I thought it was the morally right thing to do, especially because the organization has very specific values. Besides other members confirming her statements, I have friends who have also heard these statements come out of her mouth. Her mom thinks I'm lying and made it up.
