Lawsuit For Target Credit Card Debt

Long story short the last couple of years me and my husband have done IVF, lost our son prematurely, had another miscarriage and a highly complex pregnancy with our rainbow baby. We unfortunately had to pay so many medical bills we couldn’t make payments on my Target Credit card which had a 1,000 limit. It racked up to in interest 2,700 over the years. I know it’s not smart, mistakes were made and we will never do this again. I got a letter in the mail to settle the debt owed for 2,100 so we were planning on doing that, one week later I was served the law suit and I answered right away. I called and called and finally spoke to someone because I wanted to settle the debt, I didn’t want to fight it in court as Ive heard people having success with who are willing to pay. The person for the creditor/attorneys office I spoke to in the phone confirmed with me they will accept the settlement payment. I asked for it in writing, it never came. We paid the 2,100 in full a week earlier than the date provided!!!! I filed multiple motions of proof of payment with the receipt and requesting it to be dismissed. We stopped receiving letters and have received nothing from anyone but when I check the courts website it said the case is complete and it’s in favor of the attorney and I owe the full amount now and extra court fees ???? I still haven’t received anything in the mail. Is this the consequence of not using an attorney? Is there anything I can do? I just wanted to pay the agreed amount and move on and I thought I was doing the right thing. Any advice is appreciated.
