Legal Recourse To Make My Ex Leave Me Alone (no Violence)

My ex will not leave me alone. Context/timeline. We dated. He cheated on me, we broke up. A few months later, he liked me on hinge again and we were talking/hooking up but it wasn't nearly as serious as it used to be. That lasted about a week and we ended on relatively good terms.

We almost got back together again which would have been a mistake on my part as I realize how much anxiety being around him causes me. Additionally, there's some substantial things we disagree on such as prenups, so it wouldn't work out well long term. Us not getting back together ended with him saying he would block me and I went ahead a muted him on just about every platform and deleted his number.

Here's where things start to get tricky. I woke up today to find 10 missed calls, 30 discord dms from his second account that I forgot about, and several text messages. Normally, I would think that he just needs to get over me. But there's another dynamic at play here.

After out breakup when we were on friendly terms, he enrolled at the college I teach at to finish his degree. He did this prior to our fallout and legitimately for the credits/classes. This overlap between his school and my workplace are where my concerns stim from.

To clarify, 1) he is older than me 27 vs 23, both male and both in our 20s when we met. 2) he was not enrolled while we dated. 3) He is not in my class, but I do know at least one of his professors personally. There is no direct point of contact or powet imbalance between us at the college and thus no ethical violation.

I am concerned given our past and the absurdly high number of contact attempts that he may attempt to reach out to me. I would highly dislike it if he should up to my house, and I would be extremely concerned if he came to my office in campus. I wish to prevent this so Im wondering is there any legal recourse for some kind of restraining order even though there was no history of violence between us? Most of what I've seen online is that you need extensive evidence of abuse to get a restraining order
