Don't judge for gambling please, I feel shit enough already.

Playing in a local arcade, was up a couple of hundred quid on a roulette wheel (not a machine). I placed a £20 bet on 1-18, and then changed my bets to 50p and bet 3 or 4 low numbers. I stepped away, and then the machine started randomly betting a few hundred quid on random 19-36 numbers (all on camera, directly underneath). My original bet had won, but I lost nearly everything I had in it. There was a witness next to me watching this and the "clear bets" option was unavailable as the machine was continuously betting hundreds of pounds.

They said they couldn't check the cameras but an engineer would sometime soon (another guest said it could be a few weeks).

Now this is (nearly) entirely my fault, I went and took another 500 pound savings from my house that was to be paid for my rent this month and went back to try to win my money back as I couldn't afford to wait potentially weeks to reclaim the money that the machine had stolen. They had blocked off the seat that malfunctioned, so I chose a other. Again I placed a bet, stepped back, and again the machine malfunctioned and started pressing random buttons and lost (albeit a smaller number this time, maybe 20 pounds.) I proceeded to lose my whole stake in the next few minutes.

This is two separate machine malfunctions all caught on camera, nobody touching the screen and it placing random bets.

Do I have a leg to stand on if I get legal advice to reclaim the WHOLE amount staked, not just the amounts that malfunctioned? This was two separate screens on the same table and seems to me like a major error and the machine shouldn't be playable.

Again, please don't judge for gambling. Reap what you sow, I know. But I was chasing back the money the machine had stole off me originally when it malfunctioned again.
