My Grandmother Wants My Aunt To Move Out, But My Aunts Refusing. What Can We Do?

Location: Texas

My aunt has been living with my grandmother for 3 years, over the past three years my grandmother has asked my aunt to move out multiple times, however, my aunt has refused and told her that she has rights to stay since she paid rent.

This February my grandmother hit a breaking point and told her she had 90 days to start looking for a place, she told her that she didn’t have to pay rent so she could start saving for a place. My lease ended last month, and my grandma asked if I would stay with her for a while and help fix the house (my aunt trashed it).

April is the last full month that she is allowed to stay in the house, and shes made it pretty clear that she doesn’t plan on actually leaving.

Because of this I’ve already started taking action to help fight this. I’ve documented the condition of the areas my aunt lives in and the damage she’s done to the house, my grandma has sent messages to family members the day after she gave my aunt notice and let them know of the predicament. I’ve also done a little research and believe that this could either be an “at will” lease or a month-to-month lease since they never signed an actual lease agreement. I’ve also drafted up a lease termination agreement, and also an eviction notice as a safety precaution.

I feel like this is a pretty open and shut case for my grandma, but I still feel very nervous about everything. Is there anything else we should do?
