My Minor Son And I Inherited A Home, My Auntappointed Herself As The Custodial Of My Sons Inheritance And Didn't Go Through Probate
Location: Indianapolis, IN is where the inherited home is and where my son (8) and I (34f) live. My aunt (60F) lives in Florida and hasn't visited in the past 2 years since my dad passed( they are siblings) There is a lot to this, for the sake of getting to it, I'll skip the several reasons why I'd like to do this. If it's relative to answering my question please ask, I'll gladly give any details. There was a will( that she wrote, not a lawyer but a lawyer looked over it for her after) Even though his estate added up to over 100,000, My aunt bipassed going through probate by submitting a transfer upon death deed for my dad's duplex. Naming myself, my son and herself as the custodian over his assets until he's 18. I didn't know this until long after it happened. To be clear She had no legal guardian rights to him or anything like that. How do I go about having her removed as the custodian of his inheritance since it never went through probate?
