My Mother-in-law Pushed Me, I’m An Immigrant Living With Her.

Card image cap

Location: San Bernardino, California. I live with my husband, our son and in-laws. This morning she pushed me after she was yelling at me with her fingers pointing at me. I don’t feel safe so I didn’t just listen, I stood up and refuse her attack me. I didn’t touch her just protect my body, then she pushed me.
I married in 2023, now I am 751 processing. I’m from China. They told me before that if I don’t listen to them, they will withdraw my 751 so I will be deported and never see my son again. They also said even if one day we are separate I will not get custody of my son, because I’m an immigrant, I don’t have my own home, I live with them, etc. I am scared, and I work full time to support my son.

This morning I wanted to call the cops, my husband, and my FIL stopped me and did not let me touch my phone. Mil lied about she didn’t do anything, but my husband witnessed everything and can prove it. They knew that my immigration situation, and that’s why she does this to me.

I do not want to live my life in this situation? What should I do next time this happens?
