My Name Is On A Foreclosure Listing For The House My Ex Spouse Kept In The Divorce. How Do I Remove It?

Location: Minnesota

I was divorced in September 2024. I put up zero fight for the house and my ex spouse kept it.

He has since developed a drug habit that lost him his job and I have been notified that my name is listed on the auction page for the house.

It’s not on my credit report, the bank does not have me on the mortgage as I wasn’t on the loan (I bought a new house after the divorce), I have no ties to utilities or services at the old house.

But, when my name is googled, which is common in my field as well as job hunting, the auction report shows up as me being one of the owners of the home along with photos. Now I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a drug den but it’s not good and definitely does not make me look good as being a party to it.

The site says we are still married and I am a joint tenant.

I want my name removed. I contacted the county admin and provided paperwork proving the divorce and ownership, and the same with the bank (who would absolutely know given we had to split finances and the title was only in his name).

I’m having zero luck because nobody will contact me back. What’s my next best course of action here?
