My School Is Asking To Question My Partially Nonverbal Autistic Brother 15 Is This Legal?
I F16 and my little brother M15 live in a small county in Location: Colorado my brother has high functioning autism and was nonverbal for most of his life but when he was about 8 he began to talk but not really talk just parroting, but he leaned a bit more through the years but he still mostly parrots, ok so the situation happened at school I wasn't their but what I've been told My brother was in his special class with his teacher and two helpers apparently he punched the teacher the teacher said he didn't hurt her, one helper said that he hit her full force, and the other didn't see anything, so the principal wants to question him but my brother answers basically everything with yes unless you ask him multiple times and he'll only answer truthfully if he trusts them but he doesn't Is their anything we can do? The school won't listen to us and are insisting on questioning him. pls help
Edit: My mom is also trying to figure this situation out but she is more of fighting with the principal and school than taking any legal precaution
