I was recently fired for issues with other personnel as a manager. Not a big deal IMO, I wanted to leave anyways. This was not work related, I said the wrong thing to the wrong person. I still did my job.

Here’s the issue- Since I left, coworkers who were close to me are getting punished for being close to me while I was there, including but not limited to being told that if they contact me they will be fired. The belief is that as a former manager, I am going to report the company to OSHA or the EPA because of gaps on site.

Questions I would like answered:
Are they allowed to fire people if they contact me? Through non-work related channels. I understand not using work channels.

Does OSHA actually follow the whistleblower protocol to protect anyone who reports issues? Would I be safe if I reported anything?

I know it’s vague but I’m not sure if any employees are on here.
