Slip & Fall Injury
Location: I live in NY, injury happened during a weekend getaway in Cape Cod.
Greetings, 2 days ago, I visited my cousin who was staying at an Airbnb. When I left it was pouring rain, and the driveway is sort of embedded into the ground by about 2 feet. The only way to enter my car was to step down a steep 2 foot slope to the driveway. The driveway is not wide enough to walk next to the car, it was raining, there is no lighting and it was pitch dark.
Well it was like a slip and slide and down I went. I was flat on my back on some rocks, completely stunned. Immediately felt head and neck pain. Got severe shaking and threw up a short while later. My brother took me to the ER, getting xray and CT Scan and luckily nothing broken or a brain bleed. They diagnosed with concussion and whiplash. The next day (yesterday) had to spend 8 hours driving home (I was not driving), which was awful. Today I am feeling a little better but not 100%.
Is this something worth pursuing? My cousin was not supposed to have guests at her Airbnb so she is a little worried about getting in trouble. Any advice appreciated.
