So The F.b.i. Came To Our Door…

Location: Central Florida Legal advice needed, please!

So had 2 FBI come to the front door looking to talk to a family member about a ‘Violent’ online post.. Since they didn’t have a warrant they were told nothing will be discussed and to leave. We believe this was them fishing for information (as law enforcement does) and that it could be about a completely separate matter. Since we’ve had an exceptionally hard time recently, loss of lives, financial turmoil, etc., we have no ability to access a lawyer before charges come and we can get a public defender.

So this has bought some serious concerns and with them some questions - What typically happens next with this type of situation? I.e. Should we be expecting an arrest or a warrant? Or……?

We’ve seen many videos of something similar happening. Where it was no more than them ‘investigating’/asking questions, about some political oriented post and such. But you also really never see follow up videos on such a thing… Is that because it was a lot of nothing? Or is that because they were arrested and charged?

Is there any way for us to find out more information about the situation/investigation (without possibly incriminating, or exacerbating)?

I’m not really sure what to do next, but not knowing is causing extreme anxiety and depression (in a person whose mental health has already been questionable before this).
