Someone I Have A Restraining Order Against Is Texting My Family Members Saying Absolutely Horrific Lies About Me

Location: MI

My biological father is extremely mentally ill. He has been in a psychosis for over a year and has been ramping up. I haven’t personally spoken to him in years but he started having delusions and hallucinations about me. He got my phone number and began texting me threats about kidnapping my almost 3 year old son (whom he’s never met) as well as saying he was going to call CPS on me because I am a “narcissist” (his psychosis surrounds his paranoia and belief that LITERALLY everyone in the world but him is a narcissist, and that there is an impending war against “narcissists and pedos” and that he is part of a secret organization who works to find them and put them on a hit list for when the “war” begins, just for a taste of what I’m dealing with here.) Again I emphasize I have had zero contact with this person in years and he is in a sustained psychotic episode.

I filed and was granted a protection order against this person after he began to threaten to kidnap my son. So far he has not tried to contact me again, however I just found out that he has been sending my ex-step mother (his ex wife) texts saying that I am sexually abusing my son. Of course everyone knows it’s categorically untrue and part of his psychosis but I am extremely disturbed that he is saying these things. One part of the PPO is that he is not supposed to do anything to cause me any emotional distress, and that is pretty fucking distressing. I’m just wondering if that would constitute a violation of the PPO and whether/ how/ should I pursue that?
